Privacy policy
Last updated September 30, 2026
Party Theory is a small site of themed party ideas. We do not ask for your name or email, we have no accounts or sign up forms, and we do not use cookies, ad trackers or third party analytics. This page explains the little that does happen when you visit.
What gets collected when you visit
Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request information such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We use these logs only to keep the site working. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Fonts and product images. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and product photos from Amazon's image servers, so those services receive your IP address when your browser fetches them. See Google's privacy policy and Amazon's privacy notice.
Product link counts. When you tap a link to a product on Amazon, your browser sends our own server a note of which article and which product was tapped. We store only that, with the date. We do not store your IP address, browser details or anything else about you, and nothing is shared with anyone. We use these counts to learn which party plans and products are useful to readers. The link itself goes straight to Amazon.
Shopping list. The checkboxes and running total on each party plan work entirely in your browser. Nothing you check is saved or sent anywhere.
Amazon affiliate links
Product links go to Amazon and include our Associates tag, which is how Amazon knows a purchase came from Party Theory. Once you are on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy notice and cookies apply. Amazon reports sales to us as totals. We never see who bought what, and we never receive your name, address or payment details. More in our affiliate disclosure.
Party Theory shares its ideas on Pinterest. We use Pinterest's official API only to manage our own Pinterest account: to publish our own pins and boards and to read the performance of our own pins. We do not use it to collect information about other Pinterest users, and we do not sell, share or store data about anyone who views or saves our pins. Access tokens for our account are kept private on our own server. When you use Pinterest, Pinterest's privacy policy applies.
Children
Many of our party plans are for kids' birthdays, but the site is written for the adults planning them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions about privacy? Send us a message on Pinterest.
